January 30, 2016: Just a few months after Admiral Harry Harris took command of United States Pacific Command (PACOM), he met with reporters to give an update on the Pacific Rebalance. Admiral Harris stated that the greatest threat he faces, on a day-to-day basis, is from North Korea. His statement does not lack historic evidence. Since 1958, five years after the Armistice was signed, there have been over 150 North Korean incidents with South Korea (this data is accurate up to 2007; after that you can do your own math).
